The Game Voice is an early voice chat device. It was shaped like a hockey puck, with four channel buttons that allowed the user to speak to individual teammates. It could also be set to communicate with the entire team, or globally to all players. The driver software also allowed it to function as a voice command device using programmable macros. The package included a headset with an attached microphone, though these could be substituted with any other PC headset/microphone. The puck acted as an intermediary between the sound card and the sound input/output devices. The headset, along with the system speakers, plugged into the puck, where a switch could be used to set whether sound would be output from the speakers or the headset. The puck also had its own volume control. To provide power for the puck LEDs and drive the voice command and channel functions, a USB connection was also required. Microsoft recommended Game Voice as a microphone for use with the speech recognition feature of Microsoft Office XP.[14]

Microsoft has not released the hardware specifications so that an open source driver could be developed. The device is supported under Windows XP, but no new driver is planned for Windows Vista. Despite this, Linux based operating systems can use this device using various third party applets (i.e. Kamevoice)

The control pad had a total of ten digital fire buttons: six buttons controlled with the right thumb (named ABC XYZ), two shoulder buttons (one left, one right), and two buttons controlled with the left thumb, one named start, the other marked with a shift key symbol (as the SideWinder software allowed to use this button to shift controls for the ABC XYZ buttons - on the driver side, it was just an action button like the others).

Hi, I've ebayed myself an old Combatstick + Pro Throttle (both gameport) and the Throttle (which is daisy-chained before the stick) some weeks ago. But it the combo won't work with the Standard "CH Analog" driver. In XP, the stick is detected, but with the Throttle before it, many keys of the stick don't work anymore. In Win98, the stick isnt detectable at all. So I ask myself, if you are completely sure of what you're doing and if you have the real drivers for the throttle.

Installation============This disk contains all the files necessary to install the Windows drivers for your CH Gameport Devices under Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. To install the drivers, click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the Windows screen, select the "Run" option, and "Browse" your way to the Setup.exe file on the distribution disk. Highlight Setup.exe, click "Open", then click "Okay". The installation will begin, simply follow the prompts to finish the installation.

Setup=====Once the installation is complete, you will need to run the Windows Game Controllers applet to set your controller up for Windows. Be sure to consult the Users' Guide for information on how to do this before you start. The Users' Guide will be installed along with the drivers, to access it after the installer has run click the "Start" button, then "Programs". Select "CH Products->Gameport Devices->Users' Guide. It's a regular Windows Help File and should open automatically.

I've read all these info man and I've installed it properly. The problem is, that this chanlg driver doesnt really support the Pro Throttle (or just very basic support) and the user is advised to use the original drivers that were shipped with the device, which in my case don't exist or where not shipped with it. ? I've read a thread at the CH Hangar where a guy states the exact same problem, and solves it through re-installation from scratch etc, but he isn't sure what he exactly did.

The drivers only provide minimal analog support for the CH FighterStick and the CH Force FX. They will show up as plain analog controllers, but there is no programming available nor are force feedback effects supported. There is no support for the CH Throttles. In some cases, a device can be plugged in to them and they will provide a standard throttle axis, but they are not programmable and the buttons are non-functional. These entries were primarily designed to provide some minimal functionality in Windows XP and Windows 2000 where they would otherwise be unusable. For Windows 98 and it's variations, the appropriate Windows 98 drivers and utilities for these devices should be used for full functionality.

I guess the "easiest" way for me is to install a cheap USB interface into the throttle, so that drivers wont be no problem anymore. But this method brings up another problem, because with the new usb interface you have a non CH products device in windows and you can't program it thru the CH software. The 10k buttons on the throttle can be reprogrammed externally through Joy-to-key for example but I'm worrying about the throttle axis which is on a whole different device then.

The flightstick and virtualpilot pro are regular pots joysticks with a crude solution of button combinations for extra buttons. If you press two or more of the standard buttons at once you get one of the ch defined auxiliary buttons.

Keyboard Combiner cannot keep track of the buttons on the ChoiceStick without temporarily modifying the ChoiceStick driver. Uncheck this option if you do not have a ChoiceStick or you do not want Keyboard Combiner to improve the ChoiceStick'sbehavior. This option only takes effect when the "Combine Apple Desktop Bus devices"option is active.

Keyboard Combiner does not affect joysticks that have special timing options. The drivers of these joysticks must be patched so that they tell Keyboard Combinerwhen a button is pressed. This has only been done for the ChoiceStick (driver version 2.01B2 )and Flightstick (driver version 1.2.2 to 1.3.3) because these are the only joysticks that wehave access to. The SideWinder has no special timing options and doesn't require a patch.

Keyboard Combiner cannot track the button presses of some devices (see Compatibility). A false error message may be generated after startup indicating that the ChoiceStick driver could not be patched. The Flightstick Pro patch may not work correctly in System 6. Virtual PC may not function correctly with the "Combine Apple Desktop Bus devices" option turned on.

If the device has registered on the computer but is unresponsive this may mean the drivers for it failed to installed. Try unplugging and re plugging the device back in. If this still doesn't resolve the issue visit the following website and download the correct drivers.

Adding the Pro Pedals to your system is a snap - simply connect the pedals to an available USB jack and you're ready to go. There are no drivers to download, and the Pro Pedals work with both Mac and PC operating systems. A seven-foot USB cord makes it easy to position the pedals where they're the most comfortable and accessible.

2ff7e9595c
